How To Make Lebanese Kibbeh Recipe

Delicious and savory Lebanese dish made with ground beef, spices, and bulgur wheat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup fine bulgur wheat
  • 1 onion, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the bulgur wheat in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and squeeze out any excess water.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef, onion, bulgur, olive oil, allspice, mint, cumin, salt and pepper. Mix well.

  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  4. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and transfer half of the mixture to the dish. Spread it evenly.

  5. Layer the filling of your choice, then top with the remaining beef mixture.

  6. Bake the kibbeh in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until browned.
